Chevron Lace Cowl
Description: |
BEYOND THE PATTERN: Before the Covid-19 pandemic, excitement was beginning to build for the upcoming March Madness Tournament. The NCAA was ready to publish the brackets for 2020 and then….. everything came to a halt. However, I decided that our KAL would go on. Even if the cowl could not be worn to the games, it was still a nice garment to keep us snuggly warm. The two patterns were designed, one to appeal to ladies (lace design) and one for the guys (slipped stitches and garter stripes).
This is the perfect pattern for your college student, faculty member or athlete as it can be knit in the “exact” school colors.
The Chevron Lace Cowl was designed for ladies and includes a chevron lace design in the primary color, separated by contrasting eyelet bands of the secondary color. It is knit in two colors and worked flat as an asymmetrical triangle. The number of stitches decreases on each RS row as your cowl grows, making it a quick project. It is later joined with stitches, buttons or just tied to allow the drape to be fully adjustable. Instructions for finishing are included in the pattern.
Enjoy making it and have even more fun wearing it.
