Hexagon crochet coaster

Note: Beg ch counts as a st.

Rnd 1: Ch 6. In 6th ch from hook, work(dc, ch 2) 5 times. Join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-6. (6 dc)

Rnd 2: Ch 4 (counts as first dc), ch 1,(5 dc in next dc, ch 1) 5 times, then 4dc in same st as beg ch-4. Join with slst in 3rd ch of beg ch-4. (30 dc)

Rnd 3: Ch 3, which counts as first dc,(3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 3dc, 3 dc in next dc) 5 times, then 3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in same st as beg ch-3. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (54 dc)

Rnd 4: Ch 3, which counts as first dc, (2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 7 dc, 2dc in next dc) 5 times, then 2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 7 dc, dc in same st as beg ch-3. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (66 dc)

Rnd 5: Ch 4, which counts as first dc and ch 1, 2 dc in next dc, *(ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc) 4 times, ch 1, skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 1, 2 dc in next dc; rep from* 4 times more, then (ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc) 4 times, ch 1, skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in same st as beg ch-4. VERSION 6 - PINWHEEL

Note: When alternating colors, work your stitches over the unused yarn. To change colors between stitches, work the last yo of the current stitch with the new color to be used for the next stitch.

Rnd 1: Using Magic Ring Method, work 6 sc in Ring, with Color 1. Pull tight and join with sl st to first sc. If unfamiliar with the Magic Ring Method, ch 4 and join with sl st to form ring, and then work 6 sc in Ring, joining with sl st to first sc. (6 sc)

Rnd 2: Continuing with Color 1, ch 1 and work 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st in first sc. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: With Color 1, ch 3, which counts as first dc, dc in same st, change to Color 2, 2 dc in next sc, *change to Color 1, 2 dc in next sc, change to Color 2, 2 dc in next sc; rep from * around, changing to Color 1 to join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (24 dc)
