FAQs
Is your yarn friendly to our environment?
We use 100% merino wool exclusively. They are natural fibers produced by plants, animals, and geological processes. Natural fibers can have different advantages over synthetic reinforcing fibers. Most notably they are biodegradable and renewable. Additionally, they often have low densities and lower processing costs than synthetic materials.
How do you dye yarn?
We understand team colors are close to your heart. We begin the process by creating a dye formula that will produce the exact color on yarns. It requires for many experiments. For instance, it took about 3 days to create a formula for Louisiana Purple, but It took me about 30 days, over 100 100 experiments to get Texas Maroon right. After all, it has been so much fun.
Could you tell me which color to get if I tell you a school name?
Absolutely! My goal is for you to avoid guessing and look-alike.
What is the Pantone Matching System Color?
The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a color standardization system that helps in color identification and matching. It uses the Pantone numbering system to identify colors, and through this numbering system printer and other equipment manufacturers can match colors without having to contact one another.
Which red color should I get for Ohio State University?
It is a very good question. Most schools share the school color Pantone codes on the official website or you can find every school and team color code at https://teamcolorcodes.com/
You may see Ohio State University color is PMS 200 C or PMS 200 U. C stands for coated while U stands for Uncoated. Since we print the color on fibers J, we go by PMS Uncoated system.
You can also search for images of the school to confirm. But be aware that your device screen and surrounding lighting may alert the color a bit.
Where are you located?
I live in Moorpark, a quiet sancturay nestled between the hills of the Santa Rosa Velley and the rugged hills of Ventura Valley, with my husband and my 10-year-old son. I currently dye all the yarn in my studio behind my house.
