BODY 

Round 1: Dc in same st, *skp next 2 sts, vst in next st, skip next 2 sts, shell in next st*, repeat from * to * to last st, dc in last st, ch1, turn. (total 27 [30, 31, 34, 36] shells and vst)

MAKE COLLAR 

Row 1: Rejoin yarn into 1st dc st of neckline, ch1, dc in same st, *skp next 2 sts, shell (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next st*, repeat from * to * around the neck line, dc in last st of neckline, ch1, turn.

Row 2: Dc in same st, shell in each middle of previous shell across to end, dc in last st, ch1, turn.

FINISHING

Sew any holes under sleeve. Sew 5 [6, 6, 7, 7] buttons on the band.

BABY HAT

Ch4, slst to join in 1st ch. Make a magic ring. Now, working into the ring:

Working into ch-sp, slst into 1st ch2-sp, *sc, ch1, 4dc, ch1, sc, slst into next ch2–sp*, repeat from * to * in each ch2-space around, slst. Fasten off.
