ATTACHING THE LEGS

Using sewing pins, pin 2 Legs to the side of the Body (between Rounds 13- 16) as front legs and 2 Legs on the bottom of the Body (at the foundation chain) as back legs.

Using the yarn tails from the Legs, sew the Legs to the Body.

Fold and pin the Ears on either side of the Head between Rounds 9-11.

Using the yarn tails from the Ears, sew the Ears to the Head.

Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.

EMBROIDERING THE MOUTH

Using sewing pins, mark 2 sts in Round 2 of the Head, 4 sts apart (see photo in downloadable PDF). Next, mark the center of the Magic Ring. Mark a final st directly below the marked Magic Ring, in Round 2.

Using the black cotton yarn and the marked stitches as guides, make a loose horizontal st in Round 2, then make a vertical st from the Magic Ring to Round 2 below, wrapping around the previous horizontal stitch so it is pulled down into a V shape.

Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.

ATTACHING THE HEAD

With the same yarn used for the Body, cut a piece of yarn about 6 inches (15 cm) long.

Using this piece of yarn and a tapestry needle, sew Rounds 13 & 14 of the Head to the center of the last 2 rounds of the Body.

Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.
