Using a 20 inch (50 cm) long piece of the same yarn used for the Head, sew opposite skipped sts together to close the openings on each side of the Head. Secure the yarn, then hide the yarn ends inside the Head.

Attach the eyes in Round 23, 10 sts apart.

Stuff the Head up to Round 15.

Round 31: (Sc 7, dec)x 6. (48 sts)

Round 33: (Dec)x 12. (12 sts)

Stuff the Head.

Round 34: (Dec)x 6. (6 sts)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, thread the yarn tail through the front loop of each st of the last round and pull to close. Hide the yarn end inside the Head.

TENTACLES (MAKE 6)

Ch46 Row 1: Sk 1st ch, (sc, inc, sc)x 15. (60 sts)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

ATTACHING THE TENTACLES

Fold 3 tentacles in half and pin each at their fold to the center of the bottom of the Head. Next, pin one end of each of the remaining 3 tentacles to the center of the bottom of the Head.

Cut a 25 inch (64 cm) long piece of the yarn used for the Body and Tentacles and sew the Tentacles to the Body.

Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.

EMBROIDERING THE NOSE

With pink cotton yarn, embroider the Nose at Round 23 of the Head, centered between the eyes, by making 3 sts, one on top of the other, spanning 4 sts. (see photo in downloadable PDF).

Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.

EMBROIDERING THE SMILE

With black cotton yarn, embroider the smile at Round 25 of the Head, centered between the eyes, by making one long curved st, spanning 6 sts (see photo in downloadable PDF).

Next, make 2 small sts over top of the previous st to secure the curved shape.

Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.

EMBROIDERING THE EYEBROWS

With black cotton yarn, embroider an Eyebrow above each eye by making one st, spanning 2 sts, from Round 20 to 21 of the Head (see photos in downloadable PDF).
