• Width can be altered by changing the number of starting chains, as long as the chain is an odd number. Length can be altered by the number of color repeat rows completed prior to the Final Row. The yardage will need to be adjusted accordingly.

Foundation Row 1: With A, sc in 2nd chfrom hook and each remaining ch, ch 1, turn. (69 sts)

Foundation Row 2: With A, sc in 1st scand each remaining sc, changing to B on last st by pulling last loop throug has B. Do not cut A, carry along the side,ch 1, turn.

Row 3: With B, sc in first 2 sts, *FPDC around st two rows below, sc in next st; rep from * to last st, sc in last st, ch 1, turn. 

Row 4: With B, sc in each st across, changing to C on last st by pulling last loop through as C. Do not cut B, carry along the side, ch 1, turn.

Row 5: With C, sc in first 2 sts, *BPDC around dc two rows below, sc in next st; rep from * to last st, sc last st, ch 1, turn.

Row 6: With C, sc in each st across, changing to A on last st by pulling last loop through as A. Do not cut C, carry along the side, ch 1, turn.

Row 7: With A, sc in first 2 sts, *FPDC around st two rows below, sc in next st; rep from * to last st, sc in last st, ch 1, turn. 

Row 8: With A, sc in each st across, changing to B on last st by pulling last loop through as B. Do not cut A, carry along the side, ch 1, turn.

Row 9: With B, sc in first 2 sts,*BPDC around dc two rows below, sc in next st; rep from * to last st, sc last st, ch 1, turn.

Row 10: With B, sc in each st across, changing to C on last st by pulling last loop through as C. Do not cut B, carry along the side, ch 1, turn. Continue with the established color changes. All Odd Rows are alternating either FPDC or BPDC (if the Last odd row was FPDC then the Current odd Row is BPDC, and if the Last odd row was BPDC then the Current odd row is FPDC), and all Even Rows are sc. Repeat for a total of 104 rows, or 17 repeats of ABC plus one more repeat of A, or to desired length, ending with A. Do not cut.

Border Edge

NOTE: For the border edges, only work one round of each color, as A, B, C, A, with the final round of A using RSC st (Crab Stitch).
Turn work sideways, with same side still facing you, so that you can work along the edge of the rows. For best results, space the sts as approximately one st per row edge (each space will be called a st in the instructions), as follows:

Round 1: (this is where you can work over the yarn that was carried up the side, to cover the loose yarn) Continuing with A, turning work to side edge, create Border with sc in edge of each row, to bottom, make Corner as (sc, ch 2, sc) in same st, turn work to bottom edge and work sc in each ch along bottom, make Corner as (sc, ch 2, sc) in same st, turn work to side edge, sc in edge of each row, to top, make Corner as (sc, ch2, sc) in same st, turn work to top, work sc in each st across, make Corner as (sc, ch2, sc) in same st. Using B, join with sl st in first sc, ch 1. Do not turn.

Round 2: Continuing with B, sc in each sc, and working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each ch 2 from prior round, join with sl st to first sc, ch 1. Do not turn.

Round 3: Continuing with B, sc in each sc, and working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each ch 2 from prior round. Using Color C, Join with sl st to first sc, ch 1. Do not turn.

Round 4: Continuing with C, sc in each sc, and working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each ch 2 from prior round, join with sl st to first sc, ch 1. Do not turn.
