To match sample, end after 6 rows in MC.


Notes

  • Turning ch does not count as a stitch unless otherwise indicated
  • Gauge is not important for this piece. Chain an odd number for the width desired. Repeat as many rows as desired.


Pattern

BLANKET

Ch 105 in MC 

Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, *ch1, skip next ch, hdc in next ch; rep across, ch2, turn.

Row 2 (WS): *Hdc in the ch1 space, ch1; rep to last st, hdc in last st, ch2, turn.

Rep Rows 1 & 2, remembering to change colors for Stripe Pattern. In last stitch, hdc into turning chain.

Work to desired length. Sample has 8 MC stripes and 7 CC stripes. Break each yarn leaving a tail. Weave in all ends. 

BORDER

Round 1: Join CC in any corner, ch1, 3sc in corner, sc around, working 3sc in each corner; join to beginning stitch. Break yarn.

 Round 2: Join CC in any corner, ch1, *(sc, hdc, tr, hdc, sl st) all in same stitch, ch2, skip 2 stitches; rep from * around.

You can adjust stitches to be able to work the (sc, hdc, tr, hdc, sl st) in each corner.

Fasten off, weave in ends.
