Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.
EMBROIDERING THE EYES
Using sewing pins, mark four sts for each eye (refer to photos in downloadable PDF):
1.Mark a st in Round 9. This is point A.
2.Mark a second st 3 sts away from point A (towards the Ear). This is
point B.
3.Mark a third st one round above point B. This is our Point C.
4.Mark a fourth st directly beside point C, closer to the Ear. This is
point D.
With black cotton yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider each eye. Make a
st from A to B, then between B and C, and finally from B to D.
EMBROIDERING THE NOSE & MOUTH
Using sewing pins, mark 2 sts between the eyes at Round 10, 2 sts apart (see photo in downloadable PDF). Mark another st centered between the first two marked sts, but in Round 17 below.
Using the brown cotton yarn held double and the marked stitches as guides, make 3 horizontal sts in Round 10, then make another vertical st from Round 10 to 17, meeting at the middle of the previous horizontal stitch.
Secure the yarn ends, then hide them inside the toy.
ATTACHING THE HEAD TO BLANKET
Pin the Head in the center of the Blanket with the face pointing towards a corner of the Blanket. Using a 20 inch (50 cm) long strand of the same yarn used for the Head and Blanket and a tapestry needle, sew the Head on the Blanket.
