HEAD & BODY

Round 1: 6sc in a Magic Ring. (6 sts)
Round 2: Inc around. (12 sts)
Round 3: (Sc, inc)x 6. (18 sts)
Round 4: (Sc 2, inc)x 6. (24 sts)
Round 5: (Sc 3, inc)x 6. (30 sts)
Rounds 6-12 (7 rounds): Sc 30.
Sl st in the next st (does not count as a st).

Round 13: FLO (sc, sk 2 sts, 5dc in next st, sk 2 sts)x 5, sl st.

Cut the yarn and fasten off. Switch to Color B.

Round 14: Working in BLO of Round 12, sc 30.
Rounds 15-17 (3 rounds): Sc 30. Do not fasten off.

You will now continue from the Neck to create the Body by working around a chain. (See photos in downloadable PDF).

Foundation Chain: Ch13, starting in 2 ch from hook, sc 12 in BLO. ndRound 18: (Continue working in Round 17) make a decrease in last st of Round 17 (in left side loop) and first st of Round 17 (in both loops), mark this st as first st of round; sc 29; working in other side of Foundation Chain, sc 12; working back down other side, 12 sc. Insert eyes in Round 7, 11 sts apart.

Round 31: (Sc 5, dec)x 6. (36 sts)

Start to stuff the Head and Body. 

Round 32: (Sc 4, dec)x 6. (30 sts)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, thread the yarn tail through each st of the last round and pull to close. Hide the yarn end inside the Body.

Fold Wing in half, aligning opposite sts. For the next row, work each st through 2 opposite sts together, across both layers.

Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail for sewing to Body.

COMB

Stuff the Comb

Cut the yarn and fasten off.
Smaller Comb:
Round 1: 4sc in a Magic Ring. (4 sts)
Round 2: Inc around. (8 sts)
Round 3: Sc 8. Stuff the Comb
Round 4: (Dec)x 4. (4 sts) Sl st in the next st. Do not fasten off. Continue from Smaller Comb when joining.
Join both Combs together:

ASSEMBLY

ATTACHING THE WINGS 
Pin one edge of each Wing on either side of the Body at Round 19, then sew them in place. Secure each yarn end, then hide them inside the toy.

Pin the Comb at the top of the Head and sew it in place. Secure the yarn end, then hide it inside the toy.
