Stuff the body.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, thread the yarn tail through each st of the last round and pull to close. Hide the yarn end inside the body.
TENTACLES
You will now work in the front loops of Round 22 of the body. To attach yarn, insert your hook in any front loop of Round 22 and pull up a loop of yarn.
Round 1: Ch3 (counts as first tr), tr in next front loop, *ch31, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 30 ch, tr in next front loop, turn, sc in next 25 sc, sl st in next 5 sc, turn, ch 1, sc in next 5 sl st, sc in next 25 sc, tr in next 6 front loops; repeat from * 7 more times, working only 4 tr at the end of the last repeat instead of 6; sl st in first tr to join. (56 tr, 8 tentacles). Fasten off and weave in ends.
EMBROIDERING THE SMILE AND EYEBROWS
Using the black cotton yarn, embroider the smile and eyebrows. Use sewing pins to mark the points where you want to embroider (see photos below).
For the smile, mark the two end points, 5 sts apart, then sew a horizontal line between these points.
Next, mark the center of the horizontal line, one stitch down, and sew a small stitch over the center of the horizontal stitch at this marked point, pulling the center of the stitch down to make a slight curve.
For each eyebrow, mark the upper point above the center of the eye, and mark the lower point 2 sts away and one round down from the upper point. Sew a stitch between these two points.
